• The purpose of the associate team IMPINGE is to develop efficient algorithms to recover the magnetization distribution of rock slabs from measurements of the magnetic field above the slab using a SQUID microscope (developed at MIT). The US team also involves a group at Vanderbilt Univ.

As mentioned in Sections  5.6 and  6.1.1 , a cooperation with the German firm BESA (http://www.besa.de/ ) has started this year, which includes Athena Team (Inria Sophia-Antipolis-Méditerranée) and Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées of École des Mines de Paris. It is expected to be formalized soon, so as to include several developments of the software FindSources3D as well as a co-advised PhD.
